DIY: Shredding

With so many unique cuts and styles of t-shirts, you think you have seen it all, right?  However, CLUTCH has something COMPLETELY unique and super easy called shredding! All you need are scissors and a pair of hands (which hopefully you all have).  In random sections, simply cut the hem off of a t-shirt and pull away the horizontal threads of the fabric, creating a shredded effect.–If that sounded like jibberish, we’ve posted  a video tutorial.

Just in time for Halloween, this is a different and affordable way to create your own costume. This would be great to use as an authentic worn effect for a zombie costume or a unique edge for a Rock ‘N Roll outfit. Besides Halloween, it’s just a simple way to stand out and make a shirt that is 100% your own. The process is super easy, but can be a tad time-consuming, so start your project early and spread it out between a couple of days!
